PHOTOS: Students thrive as summer programming concludes
From music camps and math adventures to library visits and field days, students that have continued their learning throughout June have shared a wealth of experiences. CCSD59 concluded its annual summer programming on Thursday with a day of outdoor celebration, allowing students to take part in field games and water competitions.
This was the cap on a month that provided students opportunities to take a leap in specific areas, whether they wanted to receive extra practice time in music or get some tips to help the transition from preschool to kindergarten. Not only did students come together for extra work in math, literacy, and other key subjects, but also got to share their progress with their fellow students throughout June. Families and friends came together earlier this month for a series of concerts from students in grades 3-7 who participated in our Instrument Explorers and Instrumental Music Camps. The Mount Prospect Public Library also paid a visit to share stories and talk about library opportunities with students and staff.
We are grateful to have been able to share this month with students and staff in a fun, enjoyable experience, and we look forward to seeing you again for the start of the 2022-23 school year.
