Photos: Mount Prospect celebrates Arbor Day with Robert Frost
This year, the Village of Mount Prospect selected Robert Frost Elementary for the site of its annual Arbor Day celebration. Last week, Village officials, including Mayor Paul Hoefert, joined Robert Frost students and staff in planting a new tree at the school. The Garden Club of Mount Prospect donated funds to purchase the tree and was on-hand for the event.
Students and staff gathered in front of the school to hear presentations about the meaning behind the holiday, give their own performances to commemorate the occasion, and even grab a shovel to join in on the project.
